Take a seat – five chairs and seats coming up for sale at auction
07 February 2022 A variety of furniture items can be found at auction and here is a selection of chairs, seats and stools in a range of styles.

1. Parker Knoll bentwood armchair
This mid century Parker Knoll bentwood armchair with green upholstery is estimated at £60-100 at East Bristol Auctions’ antiques and collectables sale on February 14.
2. Georgian set of chairs
A set of five Georgian chairs - two elbow and three standard chairs - offered without estimate at Inmans' antiques and general sale on February 14.
3. Library chair
Shakespeare range chair by Stewart Linford – estimate £800-1200 at Thimbleby & Shorland.
The English oak metamorphic library chair has a marquetry and carved panel back, and folds out to a set of four-tread library steps, each with inscription. This chair is number 52 of a limited edition of 150. The timed online sale at Thimbleby & Shorland closes on February 13.
4. Ethiopian chair
This 20th century carved Ethiopian wooden armchair with a shaped backrest is estimated at £300-500 at Sworders Out of the Ordinary two day sale on February 15-16.
5. Regency style centre stool
This modern mahogany and upholstered centre stool in the Regency style with matching cushions is estimated at £300-500 at Dreweatts interiors sale on February 15-16.
