It is estimated at £6000-7000.

2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch

A ladies’ 18ct gold diamond set Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso quartz bracelet watch from c.1999 – estimated at £3500-4500 at Sworders.

Another Swiss luxury watch brand is Jaeger-LeCoultre – a company that can trace its manufacturing roots back to the 1830s.

This ladies’ 18ct gold diamond set Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso quartz bracelet watch from c.1999 is a classic example. It has a rectangular silvered dial with black chapter ring and a horizontal row of brilliant cut diamonds to the top and bottom of the case.

Its comes to auction with papers showing it was bought through the New Bond Street shop 'Watches of Switzerland.

It is offered at the Sworders auction in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex on November 19-20 and is estimated at £3500-4500.

4. Omega Constellation watch

An Omega 18ct gold automatic Constellation wristwatch – estimated at £1500-2000 at Roseberys.

Omega is another historic Swiss watchmaker dating back to the mid-19th century. Over the years it has developed numerous styles and designs, from sports watches used at the Olympic Games to the Speedmaster watches used by NASA (including the watches worn by the crew of the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969).

Offered at Roseberys auction house in West Norwood, London on November 20 is an example of popular Constellation watch – a design that dates back to 1952. The name comes from the eight stars that Omega placed on its crest to represent the eight precision records that Omega set during the mid-20th century.

The watch is estimated at £1500-2000.

5. Rolex Oyster perpetual watch

One of the world’s most famous models, Rolex’s Oyster was launched in 1926 and was the world’s first waterproof wristwatch.

Having remained in manufacture ever since, pre-owned examples frequently appear at auctions such as this Oyster perpetual with a Azzuro blue dial which will be offered at Lyon & Turnbull’s sale in London on November 21.

It is estimated at £1500-2500.
