Probably the first comic to ever feature The Incredible Hulk comes to auction on June 2 via Comic Book Auctions.

Published by Marvel Comics in 1962, The Hulk was illustrated by Jack Kirby and written by Stan Lee.

Issue No. 1 is one of the key comics from the Marvel Silver Age (1956-1970). The Hulk was only coloured grey for this issue as colourist, Stan Goldberg, was having trouble with the colour's consistency. The Hulk has been green ever since.

The original owner bought this comic several years ago when it was enclosed in a plastic case to certify its 'good-very good' grade but said: “As I'd paid quite a few quid for it, I thought I might as well break it out of its case and read it!”

It is offered at no reserve along with The Amazing Spider-Man No. 1 and The Avengers No 1.

Here are some other comics worth a read in the sale via The Saleroom.
